House of Mastery in Nigeria
You are good at your job in Nigeria. People count on you. Your own plans still wait.
In Lagos or Abuja, you deliver at work and you deliver at home. Your own plans get the time that is left, and there is rarely any left.
You finish what is waited for
You finish what is waited for. Nobody waits for your own work.
Work has deadlines and family has needs, so both get done. Your own plan has nobody waiting, so your own plan slides to next year. The same thing happens to capable people in Nairobi, London and Houston.
We give your own work a date, a name, and someone who asks. Until you can give your own work all three yourself.
Many things start the pattern. The pattern survives when your work has no structure. Keep your explanation. This page is about what finishes the pattern.

What changes
You still deliver at work and at home. The difference is that your own plan has a date, and someone asks about your own plan on that date. You are no longer doing this alone.
Week by week your own work moves. You keep your word to yourself the way you keep your word to everyone else, and your days start to feel like yours again.
