A Mirror

Read each question slowly. Sit with it before writing. These are not questions to answer quickly.

Question 1

When is the last time you were still, not meditating or resting as a strategy, but genuinely present to what was in front of you without a task attached? What made it possible, and what ended it?

Question 2

What is the running mode that your particular version of busyness uses? Is it achievement, control, serving others, or staying invisible? Name the shape of your run.

Question 3

If you dropped the leash right now, what specific fear would show up first? Name it.

Weekly Practice

Read one of these each morning this week. Before the phone.

Day 1 I noticed that what chases me stops when I stop.
Day 2 I was still long enough for peace to arrive.
Day 3 I stopped outrunning the calm I say I want.
Day 4 I asked what I fear will catch up if I rest.
Day 5 I let the stillness be the answer.
Day 6 I chose to stop, on purpose, once today.
Day 7 I am willing to let peace begin where I stop.
