A Mirror

Read each question slowly. Sit with it before writing. These are not questions to answer quickly.

Question 1

In your primary professional context, do the people around you know the full range of what you are capable of, or do they know the version of you that supports their capabilities? *(This is listening for the gap between perceived and actual capacity.)*

Question 2

When something goes well in a collaborative effort, do you move to share credit before you have claimed any? *(This is listening for the reflexive self-erasure.)*

Question 3

Is there a dream or ambition you have been holding in reserve, waiting for permission from someone who has not been paying attention? *(This is listening for the internalized backup logic.)*

Question 4

When you imagine yourself at the front of the room, what is the first feeling that arrives? *(This is listening for what the visibility threatens.)*

Weekly Practice

Read one of these each morning this week. Before the phone.

Day 1 I noticed how practiced I am at disappearing.
Day 2 I named where I made myself second on purpose.
Day 3 I let myself be seen instead of useful in the background.
Day 4 I stopped shrinking into the safest role.
Day 5 I took one small space at the front.
Day 6 I asked what showing up would actually cost.
Day 7 I am willing to be present, not just available.
